"Bold textures characterize the sculptural forms of my
Art. What have traditionally been
glaze challenges and flaws have been pushed to reveal
characteristics that enliven the tactile surface and re-
define the ultimate purpose of glaze upon clay.
Stretching beyond the public's perceived definition of
Pottery, these pieces have a high degree of risk.
Raw glazes shrink and pull from the pot upon
application. Designs are universal and rendered
simply. High temperatures mature overlapping glazes
that randomly fuse to the surface of the clay during
firing."

Tim Wedel has lived in Palisade, Colorado as an
Artist/Potter since 1978. His work has been
featured in regional galleries and sought after by
collectors of clay art.
Tim maintains a full-time working studio near
downtown Palisade on the Colorado River. The studio is
open to the public and offers small venue clay instruction.
