My education in art started with a talented instructor, David Manje, of Mesa, AZ. His multi media is shown in galleries throughout the West. It has been my privilege to work alongside Harold Nelson of Scottsdale, AZ. His work can be seen at the museum at Greenriver, UT. I have attended workshops with Dan Loge and Stephen Datz; two very accomplished local artists. Working in both oil and pastel, I have been the recipient of several awards from around the Western Slope area.

My most current gallery showing is at Canyon Creek Gallery in Ouray, CO.
I am a member of the Pastel Society of Colorado, Glenwood Springs Guild, and a former board member of the Western Colorado Center for the Arts.

To me, art is a form of expressing feelings, a type of mental therapy, and a place to lose the problems of ever day life. Life is short, and it seems there is never enough time to paint. Art has "forced" me to see things with a different eye.
